Sadr during a joint press conference in Najaf with the leader of the Fatah alliance, Hadi al-Ameri, said that “the new coalition with Fatah is within the national framework and will maintain the tripartite alliance of Sairoon, al-Hakim, and the National Alliance.”
The official spokesman of the Fatah Alliance, Ahmed Asadi, confirmed in a press statement earlier in the day, that "Fatah and others have announced the formation of the nucleus of the largest bloc and call all winning parties to participate in this alliance according to an agreed program of government that adresses the challenges and crises experienced by Iraq."
